The Shropshire Sheep Breeders Association use an online pedigree and registration systems (called Pedeweb) provided by Grassroots Pedigree Software Solutions. This allows breeders to birth notify, register and manage their flock online. 

Grassroots are about to launch a major update of the system. The current system will be unavailable from the evening of Thursday 18 March 2021 and the updated system  – now called the Grassroots Online Registry – will go live from Sunday 21 March 2021. 

In addition, Grassroots are launching a new Grassroots System Mobile App (for iOS and Android systems) at the same time. This will give access to breeders records even when there is no internet or mobile telephone signal. 

Access to Grassroots Online Registry (on any device using a web browser) continues to be free for SSBA members as part of their SSBA membership fee. Breeders wishing to use the new Mobile App will need to download the Grassroots System Mobile App from the Appstore or Google Playstore. The app is free for the first month and thereafter Grassroots will charge users £1.99 per month or £14.99 annually.
