SAC Premium Sheep & Goat Health Scheme
The Premium Sheep and Goat Health Schemes (PSGHS) works in partnership with veterinary surgeons across the country. It is serviced by SRUC Vets who have expertise covering all aspects of sheep and goat health issues. PSGHS offers health schemes for:
Maedi Visna (MV) for sheep /Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis (CAE) for goats; Enzootic Abortion of Ewes (EAE) and Johne’s Disease; Scrapie Monitoring Scheme for export & Scrapie Genotyping for selective breeding. Also Caseous Lymphadenitis (CLA) testing & Pre-Sale testing.
