About the Breed Society

The Shropshire Sheep Breeders’ Association and Flock Book Society

The SSBA is the oldest sheep breed society in the United Kingdom, and was the first to publish a flock book in 1882.

The society’s main objective is the promotion of breeding Shropshire Sheep at home and abroad, and the maintenance of their purity.

The SSBA is a Registered Charity (Number 1115599)
